Five star stay

We had a lovely stay at the Melia. Clean room w a beautiful ocean view. Amazing breakfast buffet with something for everyone. Free bikes to roam about the beautiful property. Amazing pool. Clean beach. Great shuttle to the airport.

Good but expensive

6 nights 1 bedroom level private pool, the resort itself is beautiful, the meals are very good but too repetitive over 6 nights, we chose all inclusive which we felt didn’t end up good value for us so soon regretted that decision. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the private pool was lovely and a highlight, but could have been a bit cleaner. The room itself was clean. Staff were excellent and super helpful. There isn’t anything to do outside the property and it is quite far from anything. Overall it was a nice place to stay but not really great value for money.

This resort is quality - we went for a Level option villa. One of the most spacious accommodation we have ever had! Even had its own splash pool at the rear of the villa. Food is good - both Breeza and Muoi were excellent - we only used the buffet (SaSa) for breakfast - and that was good. Note the resort gets busy at the weekend- so book your dining for Friday and Saturday nights. Staff are all polite and friendly. Although the resort is spread out -you can ask for transport around using the golf buggies!

The resort is wonderful. We stayed in a Level Villa - which was a next level experience. Great service with dedicated staff, free poolside cocktails daily and beautiful villa with private pool. This was a real wow experience and would recommend it highly. It is more of a destination though and not a lot around outside of the resort. We added this to a HCM trip, which was really the best of both worlds. Would go again.

It's a hidden gem. A bit of a drive from the airport, but a beautiful resort on the beach and the staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath villa with a private pool. Dinner was good & the staff at the restaurant was amazing. Brunch was also a plus. I would return two this hotel.

Watch your surrounding while walking

It was amazing , nice place to stay at the villa. The bad things was no any other restaurant outside the resort, you are binding to dine inside the resort. there are 2 restaurants and the foods was costly. Be careful when you walk inside the resort especially at dusk , I saw a 3 feet black snake pass in front of me at the lawn and coconut fell off from the tree 6 feet on my side.

Beautiful property right on the beach. The grounds on the property is very nicely maintained. The complimentary 2 hr/day bike rental makes it easy to explore the property. The only complaint is about the food. Not as good as expected from a hotel of this caliber.

Very nice resort. Check in/ out process is fast. Customer service staff is perfect. Just a little shock for me when they charge us almost $7 for a small broken cup ( which actual cost less than $1) in the bathroom because my mom accidentally dropped it on the floor .

Getaway from it all

Great place to go if you are looking to relax. Spending time at the beach and in the pool. It was what we were looking for. The only downside is the only food available was from the restaurants on the property. The property is not very near anywhere else. If you are only there for a couple of nights then it is fine.

Beautiful property but terrible service and food quality. Staff are untrained to the level of Melia and do not understand what we are trying to tell them. Also falsely advertised as 5 star because the facilities at the healthclub and spa are paid extras (something which we found out after checking in) which is not the norm in any 5 star hotel. after bringing everything to the attention of the guest relationship manager all they said was "Thank you for your feedback" no apologies and no attempt to try and compensate for our experiences

Not as advertised as one of VN top ten resorts!!!

Melia Ho Tram is proud to be one of the top ten resorts in Vietnam. We read many positive reviews about the resort and so we chose to stay for 4 nights. However, we were quite disappointed with the standard as a five star resort. We did not enjoy our stay as we wished! The front counter service at the breakfast restaurant was not very welcoming. After we gave our feedback to staff at reception, the following days we were offered seating at The Level area. To us, this was unnecessary. On our second night, we had dinner at Muoi restaurant. We ordered three dishes, of which two dishes were not warm enough. We talked to the manager and the dishes were brought back to the kitchen and replaced, yet the temperature was still not right. Our excitement for dinner was diminished. To compensate our disappointment, the manager offered us a bowl of noodle and a dish of honey roasted pork ribs, which this time the temperature was right. Although we were not charged for the meal as a "compensation", our dining was ruined! As a five star restaurant and it is pricey, the food should be served at the right standard from the beginning. One day before we checked out, we found out by chance at reception that we could get 10% discount if we used HSBC card to pay for our meals at the restaurants. We were not advised about this at check in or at the restaurants. All we got was an apology and this matter will be brought to management to train staff properly! Melia, it's disappointing!!!

The breakfast was not free we paid all inclusive, but I found most off hot things was cold for Western food. Hotel was very clean, Staff always smiling right there to help also if you had a problem they would try to fix it. We really enjoyed our stay
