"We spent two nights in Waitomo, and so happy they were spent at the Village Chalet. The room was very comfortable. Comfy bed. Heater kept us warm as temperatures dropped at night. "We LOVED our stay! We were offered dinner - a chicken and potato curry- which we took them up on. It was by far the best meal I’ve had in NZ- home cooked, tasty and so flavourful! We loved the garden area and the deck. It was one of our best stays. 100 percent recommended!!"

"Cabin has a bad smell (note on wall stated it was recently varnished but did not have this smell). Shower went hot then cold on and off which made for a very unpleasant experience. Overall i would recommend to get an ensuite and skip the cabin to stay. Friendly staff but overall not a pleasant stay ..."
