"Fully refurbished room within a newly refurbished hotel. Great central location with parking (local council) available within a 3 minute walk. Bars, shops and restaurants nearby and a short 2 minute walk to promenade. Room has a kitchenette which is very handy. The member of staff ‘Charlie’ was extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return."

"The rooms at Porters are beautifully kept, spacious and with ample amenities. The location is excellent and our suite was superb for our family. Staff at Porters are always a highlight - going out of their way to help and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The surroundjng area is loaded with dining options and is a short drive to surrounding cellar doors and scenic spots that Hawke's Bay has to offer. We will be back for our third stay in April 2026!"

"My room was small but not too tiny or too big and it had a very sweet and welcoming look to it. I loved the colour of the walls, the sense of privacy in the bathroom and I loved the bed in particular for it's perfect size and for how cozy and comfortable it was! I was also given a bottle of milk when I arrived which was handy as I didn't have to buy my own bottle when I had to shop at Pak 'n' Save which was across the road.
