"This was my third stay at the Silver Surf motel, I just love it! My two kids and I have been meeting up with my mom and aunt every year in adjoining rooms. It's very rustic, so if your looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a rustic, take cozy place to call home right on the beach, look no further! " Staff (Peggy) was very friendly and accommodating. Family and I used to come fairly often 25-30 years ago. Nice to see they have the same themed rooms. As always, being right on the ocean front, dealing with sand and TLC for the property is a constant job. I spent four nights there and really enjoyed myself. There was a time a number of years ago when they no longer allowed children. Not sure that is still the case, but would be worthwhile to check. "

"Our stay was the coziest experience I’ve had in a while. We loved our room, being near the ocean, the fire pit for s’mores, and vegetarian breakfasts cooked fresh in the morning. I loved feeling taken care of with little details to make our stay nice, yet no one bugged us for anything and we felt so chill and at ease at this property. We’ll be back! "

"This is probably one of, if not the, best property on the middle Oregon coast. Rooms are spacious, ocean front, with pathways to the bluff. The property is set well back from 101, so it's quiet. There's a walking path from the property all the way into Yachats. The lobby is interesting--big wood burning fireplace, lots of tables spread all around. Breakfast is included, but by reservation. It was a step up from continental and served by a charming staff. We tried to use the spa but didn't...

"The room had tape on the floor witch was a tripping hazard. They was hair in the tub. The chair was falling apart and the bed had had metal hook that was hanging out and grandson and husband ran it to them. "

"Excellent location. Right on the beach and there’s a nice ocean front gravel trail that goes around the rocky area and connects back to the sandy beach when it resumes. Property is well maintained. My only complaint was the mattress. It was ok but uneven. Either older or never rotated. But still reasonably comfortable. "
