"The Belfry is brilliantly well run. The staff are by far the best I've ever met in any hotel in my entire life. Truly brilliant. Friendly, engaging, funny, professional and confident. Proud of where they work and their part in it. Not unctuous just terrific. They should let the managers run the country. And before you dismiss my enthusiasm for the ramblings of someone who doesn't get out. I travel the world always staying at the best hotels. The Belfry was my third that week."

"An excellent team of staff. Nothing too much trouble and they all seemed to be happy in their work. It really does make a difference. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The hotel could do with a lift but because it is a listed building that’s not possible. Would recommend the hotel and we will visit again."

"The property looked like a castle! It was outside of town and very secluded yet easy to get there. We actually stayed in apartments next to the main house which were very large (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a washing machine in our unit). The beds were very comfortable as well. You can tell that they were renovating, because a couple things did not work (a key, the phone) and a piece of wood under the sink fell off on its own. "Old building; would prove difficult for disabled as no lifts. For us no problem apart from Room 227 being a distance away from Reception. Room n bed comfortable; we ate out in town which has a fantastic choice of restaurants n pubs. Good base, central location "

"This place is really nice but could be something amazing with a bit more TLC. The room we stayed in was extremely spacious but could do with a little bit of renovation. The staff were kind and helpful. The view from the decking was lovely and tranquil and the kids loved the farm animals! Would stay again for sure "
