The room was not what I had booked and when I queried this I was given an explanation about pipes bursting and the original room was not available and that I should be happy that I was given an upgraded room. However the room was in need of some updating and there was a strange musty smell in the bathroom. The hotel also offers parking / storage of cars...

"We had a lovely stay. It is in a beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful. The property was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated with nice furnishings . The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It is rural but the local Tollemache Inn has great food - you do need to book. Our stay ended with a nicely cooked breakfast. We will go back again for a longer stay."

"This is one of the nicest properties I've stayed at in many years: Just perfect for two people, very clean and well appointed, across the street from a great restaurant and excellent views of the Loch. There's a coin laundry in Kyle as well as a grocery store -- about 25 minutes away. Just remember to bring wash cloths if you are from America!"

"This was our second visit to the lodges and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spotless, good shower and plenty of sockets. The breakfast to go is a bonus and filling. There’s a lovely courtyard which we used to sit out and have supper. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life this is the place to come and unwind. The host was friendly and gave us suggestions of places to visit. Will definitely go back again."
