"The check-in process was OK due to some confusion about what ID they required. The room itself was clean. Although this is the third Motel 6 I have stayed in where the bathroom door has been fixed due to what looks like someone trying to break it down. The carpark isn't in the best condition. Also I stayed over a Saturday and Sunday and there were only a few spots left on the Saturday. Conveniently located to public transport to get into Downtown Chicago."

"This is the second and the last time I stay at the Palmer. I like the proximity to certain landmarks and the beds were comfy but other than that, the bathroom wasn't clean, there was a lot of hair in the tub, the shower faucet handle was filled with black scum on the inside. There was also a piece undone metal on the bottom of the vanity that scraped my kid's foot. There was no complimentary coffee/tea which added to the disappointment. I was too tired to ask for a different room with 2 kids...

"If you’re looking to practice living in a tiny home before making the commitment, this hotel room is a great place to start. The room was surprisingly small for the price, and the “twin” beds felt like they were designed for very skinny twins.
We arrived on a Sunday night and quickly discovered that finding food nearby was going to be more challenging than finding extra floor space in the room. Unless you’re a fan of vending machine cuisine, plan ahead.
