The hotel (room, staff, breakfast) were all excellent - and there was a pool, fitness room, restaurant and casino on site. There was a retail park with plenty of shops (including groceries and dining options) within 5mins of the hotel, by walking through the car park. The area felt safe. Although a little out from the centre of LA (30-40 mins via public transport), the hotel was well located for public transit to LAX and to Long Beach. Fantastic location for Universal with direct trolley service to the park and only a 15 minute uber ride to Hollywood Blvd and Griffith park. Plenty of food options available and a good shopping amenities for any last minute trip requirements. Guidance on the area from hotel staff was perfect and gave us greater context of what was available. Room was very comfortable and quiet an served us well for our stay. I would certainly use this hoel again.
