"The hotel is in the middle of Middleham and there is easy access to the castle and local areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They catered well for my food allergies, which was good as I don't think I would have been able to eat elsewhere in the town. Saying that, I personally wasn't impressed with breakfast but my husband was. Lastly parking was on the street in the market square. We had no problem finding a parking space."

"This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us. We would recommend the fish and chip place - but go for small fish and chips! The large are for those with a very large appetite! ...

"First time stating in hotel although haven to Dales many times before. Overall it’s fine but not fabulous. Food is good, tasty especially the breakfast . Personally preferred the bar food to Palmers. Service was variable but most staff were very attentive. Room was comfortable, especially the bed, great shower, large TV. No air con and noisy when window opened as our room ‘ Aysgarth’ was main road facing . Generally the carpets needed a good clean on the stairs and landing . Sadly weather was...

"Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. "Spacious family room, cracking location. We ate an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious. Staff are absolutely lovely, welcoming and cheerful. We cant wait to stay again."

"The room was nice & clean , a bonus was the air conditioning as it was hot weather . We also ate evening meal there which was ok , breakfast was plentiful with a good choice . We only stayed one night on our way to Scotland & our daughter & family met us there to complete the journey . What was nice was that they were able to park & use the hotel for food / drinks etc . "Very friendly and helpful staff. Large spacious well equipped bedroom with all the amenities that you would need. Maybe could do with a coffee table to eat your breakfast hamper off and a hook on the back of the bathroom door A wonderful stay and very good value for money."
