"Relative distance from airport makes the claim that this is an airport hotel a little suspect. It is a 10 minute walk, with suitcases on roads with very poor sidewalks or none at all. Signage to airport is very poor. Hotel staff were not knowledgeable about the nature of the walk. The hotel should offer a shuttle."

"I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inns in many places. This by far was the nicest. Staff was great. It was clean and modern. Room was very clean and quiet. Food in the resteraunt was delicious and the waitress there (Sam) was superb; very cheery and efficient. An excellent stay all around! Thank you!"

"We had a lovely stay at Portavadie for 2 nights in one of the cottages. The setting is fantastic, the pools are well maintained and warm and the gym is well equipped for a good workout. The only criticism would be that the cottages are quite dated and could do with a bit of a facelift to compliment the price tag."

"The rooms were lovely and the staff was fabulous, the valets especially went out of their way to help us. We adored the family room with the bunk beds, such a great idea for families traveling with young children so we could all be together but have designated space for everyone to sleep. We also loved the pool and waterside, kids couldn't get enough! We highly recommend this hotel while visiting Loch Lomond!"
