10/10 Excellent

"We enjoy staying on this resort because of the lovely grounds and the layout. Lot's of paths to walk on and full sized shade trees along them. The unit was super clean and had everything we needed. The staff are very friendly, but the check-in process was insane (at 4 PM there were only 2 counter staff to help a line of 50+ guests...crazy.) We left and went for dinner and returned around 6 pm and the process was fast and easy (I would suggest doing a later check-in.) They had beautiful patriotic buntings and a horse carriage and fife and drum band playing in front of the historic house when we arrived.. certainly in the 250th spirit and a great way to kick off our Williamsburg trip!"

"From a glass half full perspective... The hotel is in a convenient location and a great housekeeping staff ensures that the rooms are very clean. On the other side of the ledger... The hotel is very outdated. The common area needs a refresh and the exterior needs a major update (see long plastic tubes sticking out of the AC units and dirty windows/casings). Overall, a good property with good rooms, but not the full Doubletree tree feel that I've come to expect."

"This hotel was awesome! We were skeptical that it could really have two bedrooms and a kitchenette for the price. I thought that surely it would just be a little half wall dividing out the one bed, but it was literally an apartment in what looked like a townhome community. It was clean, easy to get around in, clean, and felt safe. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back through Williamsburg and may even look up other resorts owned by the company."

"We had an amazing time at the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites! The property is surrounded by beautiful woods and packed with great things to do. We loved the outdoor pool, the splash pad, and playing mini-golf right on the grounds. Plus, having a free hot breakfast every morning was a huge bonus. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the convenient access to the historic area made it the perfect home base. The staff was awesome."
