No cleaning done prior to our arrival No matress topper on one of the beds No replacement of toilet paper No soap refill We put our used towels to be replaced on the floor of the bathroom.. we When we came back after our day out , the DIRTY towels were replaced back on the towel rails!!! This was not acceptable at all .. There was no ramp to get our suitcases up the steps into the hotel reception door way . We found this a struggle and no staff on hand to help. "

"Tried to arrange everything in advance for a stay with my mum, who has mobility issues. Staff were very accomodating, however, everything was a little further away than they made it out to be. Which did cause some issues. Fine if you are a wheelchair user, but my mum uses crutches to get around. It was not that easy for her. Rooms are very basic, for the price and the attraction of "Horwood House". Be careful, the beds are on wheels, which surprised my mum, as she almost fell off. They are also pretty firm matresses, not the most comfortable night I've ever had. I also had a dripping noise all night in my room, that sounded like the buildings heating. The pool/spa was lovely though. Not many changing facilities, so queues happen often, but it was nice and modern and clean. Dinner at Harrys was excellent. Fresh, hot and delicious. Be aware the cocktails are very expensive though. Breakfast was a disappointment. Definitely not worth £20 per person. I know its geared up for wedding parties/conferences, but the quality was so bad and nothing was as warm as it should be. The staff however, are amazing. They were so accomdating, friendly and willing to go over and above. This ranges from reception, to the staff at Harrys, the Spa and 1911 for breakfast. The staff truly made the visit special, even if some of the other stuff was a disappointment."
