"We love to stay at the Hotel St. Michael. Fabulous location. Wonderful 'Grand Old Lady' feel. Seems it's been updated since our last stay. Lounge area is quite airy & comfortable. The 'speakeasy' underground is pretty cool. Appreciate the mocktail options. (NA beer option is pretty icky, though.) Parking is relatively easy.
Air conditioning - well, I tell ya. It does work BUT, if you want to keep the room cool at night, you've GOT to do something about the blackout curtains. The curtains are...

I’ll be totally honest. Maybe I got a one off room, but I’m not dismissing the possibility that this is just the standard here. The non smoking room I stayed in was in rough condition. It smelled strongly of cigarettes from the moment I walked in, likely from people smoking right outside near the balcony and AC units. There were stains on the walls and shower curtain, crumbs on the floor, baseboards covered in buildup, trim nails sticking up...
