"Our room had an odor and the property seemed a bit worn out and ran down. Passed a dead cockroach in the hallway. The breakfast was alright but the toasters didn't work and the pool was closed to be painted."

"This is our 2nd return stay at WCI in 8 weeks. We celebrated my wife's birthday then, and returned to celebrate my birthday on this trip. It was equally as enjoyable this time. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly. The Tapestry host Juan remembered us from our previous visit. He remaines personable, efficient, and attentive. We appreciate the evening wine reception. The provided breakfast is appreciated. We have enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the wci. The price is reasonable, we will return. "

"No to or cups in the room, bedspread dirty when I first got in. Took care of cups and bedspread immediately, but neither of us noticed toilet paper until morning. Shower curtain was moldy. No one at the desk, but the came after I called. Everything else worked, the room was otherwise very clean, and the price was great. "

"My room was clean however, the faucet was falling off the wall in the bathroom, the lock broke on my son's room and they ended up having to switch rooms. The staff at the front desk was rude when I arrived. I found the breakfast to be very pricey for what I received. "

"Rooms newly renovated, clean. Stubbs at front desk was great. I had a crying baby at check in and he smoothly helped get us checked in. He also brought us paper plates for our dinner. Breakfast was nice as well. Another nice stuff lady and I chatted. Great stay overall!"

"Stayed here because the location was great, with shops, coffee, and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing. The staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed, the property felt outdated, some chairs were broken, and the lobby smelled like urine. Too bad, because the location is the best thing this place has going for it."

"The Gateway exceeded our expectations in every area. The staff was exceptional. Andrew went out of his way to ensure we were well taken care of. The restaurant staff, housekeeping and everyone at reception were all WONDERFUL! The amenities and also our Casita was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend and we are very much looking forward to our next stay. "
