"Father/Daughter owned. They were both very kind and pleasant. We were greeted daily. The room was amazing and the vibe was unmatched. It was short walk to the beach. Our dogs were welcomed. If you want a nice place to stay, with awesome hosts at affordable prices this is your stop. My wife and I will be back and our puppies too. "We spent one night on Ocracoke at the Anchorange Inn in a first floor room, just by the office. We were there during a heat wave with intense humidity and heat index of 105+ degrees. There was a dehumidifier in our room but when we entered, it was full and had probably not been emptied that day. The humidity was 88% and it was damp and unpleasant. We had to continually empty the dehumidified in the 16 hours we spent at the hotel. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and it was a decent room. Not...

"cannot believe the good reviews this place has on Expedia. It is inhabitable. I checked in via phone call, as the front office says "open" but nobody was on the premises--ever. When I walked into my room, which also happened to be an adjoining room to someone unknown, it smelled immediately of must and mold.
