"So, some people may remember the time when a budget motel was exactly that: A budget motel. A time when a clean bed and a hot shower was what you were paying for and not a bunch of crap like breakfast, in room coffee and numerous other amenities that are absolutely unnecessary and costs hotels a fortune which is passed on to all of us that still know how to travel smart and can find all of that on our own. Personally, I grow weary of paying 100$ a night for things I never use! Rice Hill Inn...

"A little out of the way, but the reward for that is amazing peace and quiet. AJ made us feel so welcome, and he has such a sweet doggo! The owner has thought of all the small details that make a difference. There's a nice hot tub and patio seating area for breakfast if weather permits. Plus lawn games and a view that is so serene and beautiful. I can't even begin to express how amazing the breakfast was, plus a coffee/tea bar in the hallway outside the rooms. The bed and bedding were well above...

"I booked this room last minute to get my wife and 2 kids off the road during a long road trip. Front desk, I'm assuming the manager, was rude about my wife's service dog and claimed to have no knowledge of it. I made two references to the dog in my message to hotel on the Expedia site when booking the room. Once they got the room, which was disgusting, dirty, and stained. There were NO BLANKETS! When my wife asked about blankets the manager was confrontational and rude. He eventually brought ONE...
