The property was beautiful, convenient to the airport, and had lovely amenities, most notably the fitness center and the coffee shop. We didn't swim in the pool, but it looked large and clean and rarely crowded. The beach area was also spacious with plenty of chairs and shade, and the swimming lagoon was clean and not too rocky, with nice formations for snorkeling and observing fish. I thought swimming in the shadow of massive cruise ships would feel uncomfortable, but it was actually quite striking, and the ships acted as a jetty to calm the waves. The food was hit-or-miss; the buffet was large and had an excellent selection as long as the food hadn't run out (it often had). The ala carte restaurants were near-impossible to reserve, and the one we did land (Sofra, the Turkish restaurant) was delicious but may well have been responsible for my partner and me suffering for the remainder of the trip. The bar staff were friendly and competent, although there was inconsistency between bartenders as far as drink recipes. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a large plush bed and functional adequate air conditioning. However, the room had only one wardrobe with a few shelves (one occupied by the room safe), and there wasn't room for my partner and I to unpack. The room was certainly large enough to accommodate an additional dresser. All said it was a pleasant experience, but disappointing that there were missed opportunities to make it truly spectacular.

The food was awful. It made us sick all weekend. We had to go off property to eat. Everyone in the country seems to know this place serves old, bad food. The taxi driver, people at the airport. Don't go here unless you like being in the room the entire time.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT!! Everything about staying here was horrible. I can’t even begin to explain how bad the service was, how unclean it was. When we were outside the hotel everyone knew it is the worse resort on the island. How this resort was ranked a 4.5 has to be a farce. Not one person at the resort was happy. It is so bad. Just do not go!!

We really enjoyed our 8 days at The Rif. The rooms were cleaned daily, you just have to request it on the app that morning. Also, don't forget to reserve the restaurants on the app too, we were able to to visit one everyday, our favs were the BBQ and the sushi place.

The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere has great potential. However, our experience was disappointing in several key areas. Room cleaning service was inconsistent and below expectations. The bigger issue was the dining experience. The buffet was poorly managed — food trays were frequently empty and not replenished in a timely manner. Dinner opened at 7:00 PM, but by 7:45 PM many items were already gone and replaced very slowly. If you arrived around 8:30–9:00 PM, there was barely any food left, which is unacceptable for a resort setting. The wait time for food was frustrating because items simply weren’t being restocked efficiently. In addition, the staff appeared disengaged and unmotivated, often walking around as if they didn’t want to be there. Customer service energy plays a huge role in hospitality, and unfortunately, it was lacking during our stay. The property has strong potential, but significant improvements are needed in food service management and staff engagement to meet the standard guests would expect.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, we enjoyed the variety of activities for the kids and relaxing vibe for the parents. Rooms were well laid out and maintained.

Upon checking in, the room smelled like sewage and mildew. Throughout our stay there were several issues: Mold and mildew in the bathroom No washcloths are available at this hotel The food at the buffet was nasty. The restaurants often ran out of food. We had to move rooms at 1am because the toilet wouldn’t stop running and it ended up overflowing. The air conditioning was loud. The staff was not friendly and often rude. We asked for a bellman to help with bags since we had to more rooms at 1am and the Front Desk agent lied saying she was the only person on staff, but when we came to the front desk there were 8 staff members just standing around.

Zimmer war groß und geräumig. Leider etwas zu laut. Der tägliche Zimmerservice war nicht gut. Es wurden mehrfach gebrauchte Handtücher mitgenommen aber keine frischen neuen aufs Zimmer gebracht. Minibar wurde auch oft nicht nachgefüllt. Auf Nachfrage wurden die Dinge teilweise trotzdem vergessen.

Rooms very well kept. Food at buffet was very good but ran out of items frequently. Had to wait to long for omelets or fried eggs. All restaurants are understaffed so getting items quickly is not possible. Fish restaurant was outstanding. Some restaurant staff were not friendly or happy to be at the resort- many were. Communication was poor for activities outside of the resort. “Ocean view” blocked everyday by cruise ship.

Room and hotel are very nice. Unfortunately the staff seem to dislike their jobs, very poor service. Reception answered their phone 2 out of ten times. Requiring us to walk down in person to try to have our questions answered. Had to request toilet paper after room cleaning and had to go in person at 10:30 PM to pick up in person. Ordered room service once and it took over an hour past the stated delivery time ( again had to go in person to enquire). Food is beyond repetitive, typically warm to cold and got to a point that we left the resort to buy food elsewhere. If they could fix the staff/service and improve their food offerings and quality this would be a top rated resort.

Nice atmosphere and mostly accommodating. The Rif is (supposedly?) the side of the Corendon resort that is more geared toward couples and not really for kids, but we had our 11yo and plenty of people had kids on the property. The beaches were clean and the cabana was worth renting for some shaded luxury. We went in early Feb - not too crowded except the mobs at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. Some tours are only available on certain days - plan in advance. When we arrived, around 4:30pm, our room still wasn’t ready. Better yet, we missed making reservations for dinner that night so had to eat at one of the less ok spots (Harbor.) They had weird rules about reservations- can only make them between 10am and 4pm, and either for same day or one day in advance. But we noticed plenty of spots available for nights we had reservations….it seems people just make reservations and skip out later. We overheard one group talk about making multiple reservations in one night. The app is a pain in the butt…works differently for everyone, said someone actually behind the desk. The kids waterpark was great, according to my son, but low water pressure shut down one of the best slides he whole day he was there, and shut down the biggest slide after he got to ride it a few times. The fire alarm sounded twice one night and once another night. The WiFi in the Rif busted for the last two days we were there, so had to suck it up and pay roaming charges for some key communications.

Room was great! They upgraded us to a suite. There were only handful of staff that were pleasant and seemed like they liked their job. Food at the reservation only restaurants for most part weren’t worth it. Buffet was good, many choices. Bars were slow to get served, kept running out of beer, two beer choices.
