"The Howland House was situated in the most perfect spot in the Catskill Mountains! Very clean property, outstanding staff who never say no and go out of their way to help you.... The only thing I didn't care for, but not really a big deal, was that we had to share the 2 bathrooms down the hall with two other rooms. While the bathrooms were nice, they just weren't in the room we were staying in due to being sold out of the rooms with. The restaurant, Oliver's, was quite lovely and attached to the...

"My friend and I enjoyed staying at the bunk house a lot. We didn't spend a lot of time in town or around the property but it was very charming! Everyone was really friendly and helpful with any question we had. We will definitely be interested in coming back to stay again."

"We thought that the setting was very nice but we had some issues. Not all of the blinds closed. The soap/body wash/shampoo dispensers were faulty and we had to remove the dispensers in order to use. Couldn’t regulate the heat and were either cold or hot. There was a family with children above us and there was constant thumping from above. "Location in downtown Woodstock was great- parking was easy. Loved the rooftop patio - great place to enjoy a coffee. Rooms were very nice and large."

"For a lodge charging $500 per night for a standard king room, we expected a peaceful, relaxing experience in the Catskills. Unfortunately, our stay was the opposite. Our bed was positioned directly against the wall behind the main entrance door, so every time someone entered the lodge, it sounded as if they were coming into our room. We could hear conversations, every door slamming, and virtually all the noise from the common areas. On...

"One female receptionist on duty spoiled our initial experience to the point of no return. We called ahead for early check in availability and were told that it would cost $50 per hour. We said we'd drive up and see what time we got there. We were there at ~ 1:45 pm. I asked what time we could check in and without even checking the availability she told me abruptly " Check in is at 3:00pm.!" I checked online, there were 7 identical rooms to mine vacant. Continental breakfast.....The...
