Fantastic ocean beach view from the balcony! Could see Wilmington buildings a few miles to the South. Shell Island Resort is at the end of the beach road! Walk the beach 1.5 miles northward the the ocean "river" flowing into the salt water marsh...Amazing!

The location of Hotel Ballast is very nice, located on the river with a beautiful view of the sunset. It’s well maintained with the most helpful and friendly staff. Spark by Hilton Wilmington
The property was extremely clean. Everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant. We had our dog with us and the room was very accommodating. The location was a bit further away from Carolina Beach than I thought, with all the traffic, but other than that, we had a great stay.

Comfort Inn University
No didn't do the breakfast and my suitcase was stuck on left over bullets in the parking lot. I was stuck in the elevator for over 20 minutes.

Golden Sands Carolina Beach Oceanfront, Tapestry by Hilton
Clean room and nice set up with decor. They were doing painting and renovations to the pool which was properly noted on the website. Close to shops and restaurants. Quiet hotel for a nice getaway.

DoubleTree by Hilton Wilmington, NC
The front desk staff did their best to accommodate our needs. As at the Homewood Suites in Greenville, the access to WiFi was a problem. We were unable to make the login process work. The lack of a complementary breakfast is a shortcoming for this property.
