"Great place to stay. Fire pit was nice. Did not use the pool but looked good. The only weak spot was that the bathroom floor got wet when showering."
Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Winterset, IA

"We had a very peaceful 3 night stay on the first floor. We had a double queen room, it was clean and well stocked. I did need to ask front desk for extra towels on the 3rd evening, but that was not a problem at all. The beds were comfortable and clean. My party of 2 included my cousin, the 2 of us had plenty of room for ourselves. The room was spacious enough."

"Our room was clean and the kitchen was reasonably well stocked with a toaster, pots, pans, silverware, and glasses. The standard sized refrigerator/freezer and the stovetop were both nice. Other limited small appliances were available from the front desk. The property's grills were in average condition. The grill utensils available from the desk were very good. The only actual food onsite was in the form of frozen sandwiches from a vending machine (which we ate the night we arrived as it was too late to go out to get other food) and they were actually decent, but a bit pricey. We had a suite with a separate bedroom and if we closed the door, the bedroom was miserably warm, so the air conditioning was less than great. The common areas on the property were not kept particularly clean and the same drips and dirt remained on the tile floors for days. If you want to wash some laundary, I would strongly recommend that you find an external laudary mat, as we paid $10 per load (a total of $30 for three), not just because of the cost of the loads (wash & dry), but because of the high "exchange rate" to use their app to operate the equipment. We purchased our own detergent at Walmart. There was plenty of parking around the building but the locks on the building entry doors were inconsistent and often would not open with the room keys. We had two small dogs, so we borrowed a broom a couple of times. Having one in each room would be better. The staff was pleasant & quite helpful,"

"I couldn’t get over how impeccably clean the room was and so elegant. It was the best room I have had in years!"

"We have stayed there for more than 10 years on every vacation but time is taking a toll on the property. A lot of signs of wear. The staff is still great."

"Great stay! Check in was seamless. Room was clean and nice! Staff helped getting extra bed for our stay. Breakfast was outstanding and family enjoyed the amenities. Thanks Fairfield!"
