"Our room
Smelled of mold and damp air. Clean on the surface . Cleaners did not wipe window sill. Had dead bugs and grime .
Could not stay in room as when you breathed in it felt off. Could not open door to air out as chlorine e from the poolwas very strong. .We spoke to Jessica at front desk right away . She could not move our room as they had nothing available. She understood and would give a full refund . As we went through Expedia we are waiting on our refund."
Holiday Inn Express Fredericksburg Southpoint by IHG
6/10 Okay
"I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Fredericksburg Southpoint by IHG. Overall, the experience was average—certainly not the worst stay I’ve had, but not the best either.
The hotel was generally clean, and the staff was courteous and professional throughout my visit. Check-in was smooth, and the location was convenient for accessing nearby restaurants, shopping, and the interstate.
On the downside, some areas of the property felt a bit dated and could benefit from maintenance and updates. The room was comfortable enough, but there were a few details that kept the stay from feeling exceptional. The breakfast was decent, though the selection and quality were fairly standard.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for a night or two, this hotel will get the job done. While it didn’t exceed my expectations, it also didn’t create any major issues. I’d consider staying again if I was in the area, but I would likely explore other options as well."
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Dahlgren-King George, VA
4/10 Poor
"The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.
The room was adequate, with a comfortable bed and a mostly clean appearance.
However, there was a noticeable sewage odor coming from the bathroom, and the building creaked quite a bit. Whether due to age, construction quality, or plumbing issues, it was noticeable throughout the stay.
My biggest concern was checkout. A housekeeping employee loudly asked from down the hallway if I was checking out and what room I was in. While not rude, the interaction felt unprofessional, especially since the hotel had already requested checkout notification by text.
Overall, the staff were pleasant, but the bathroom odor and checkout experience detracted from the stay.
If you need a cheap, safe, reasonably clean room and have modest expectations, you’ll likely be fine here."
