The response was "I'm sorry to hear that". Not sure what the point of asking is if there's no intention to rectify the situation."

"You’re probably looking at this hotel for the same reason I was, because it’s the only hotel in Manhattan that costs less than 200 dollars a night. It’s a little run down, my room had constant street noise from New York drivers constantly honking their horns on 6th avenue. But the hotel provides you with earplugs and a mask, I don’t know that there’s much that they could do about the noise.
