"Parts of the hotel are tired and in need of an upgrade. The bed base in the room we stayed in needed to be discarded and replaced. It had started to collapse and won’t be long before it completely breaks (room 104).
Excellent breakfast."

"Most impressed by:
The Staff, they were lovely.
Breakfast was delicious.
Entertainment, Colin Mills was outstanding.
The bedroom was bright, airy, clean and nicely laundered.
Not so good:
Lift didn't go to top floor where we stayed so we had lots to carry, which was quite difficult for our party.
Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.

"We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). "Beautiful room. Lots of space,and soap and body creme too. Shower lovely with shower gel,and shampoo. Breakfast choice was extensive and served at the table. Charming hostess was very attentive, but not overpowering. Would highly recommend it, and hopefully will stay again."
