Mantra Nelson Bay
8/10 Good
"The parking is easy but our parking space park by some one in the arrivals. The room is excellent clean and tidy."

Ramada Resort by Wyndham Shoal Bay
10/10 Excellent
"No complaints about cleanliness. Love the proximity to eateries n beach n walks to the bushland. Staff members have always been courteous and helpful and oblige within the constraint of their policy . Thank you."

ibis Newcastle
4/10 Poor
"breakfast was terrible. mushroom was raw. not enough food in a buffet setting. "

Rydges Newcastle
8/10 Good
"The hotel was generally very good. The staff were helpful and quick to respond. The breakfast was nice with a great view over the harbour. Our room looked out over the harbour - worth the extra money if you like watching the goings on of a busy port. And it’s well located for dining, shopping etc.
The only downside was the room was a little
tired and dated, showing signs of wear and tear - a few dents and scratches here and there, a window sill with signs of water damage, the shower was the type where you stand in the bath etc. The hotel had signs up, advertising that the rooms were getting a make-over, but ours hasn’t had that. Hence four stars instead of five.
Also, the only parking options provided by the hotel was $35 per day valet parking. There are small car parks nearby, but they required sign-up to an app and it wasn’t clear what price they were, so we just used the valet parking - something to keep in mind when calculating the cost of the room if you arrive by car."

Best Western Plus Apollo Hotel Newcastle
10/10 Excellent
"Reception staff great. No problems with car parking. Suggest a written compendium for guests who do not have mobile phones or incorporate onto TV network.
Breakfast good, coffee great."

The Landmark Resort Nelson Bay
6/10 Okay
"The location is great, just on the edge of the commercial area for Nelson Bay, an easy 10minute walk (the walk back will be uphill though!). The staff were lovely and welcoming and the apartment plus the common areas (including the large pool) were very clean.
The use of actual keys rather than swipe passes gives a good indication for the property. The apartment itself was tired and needs an update sooner rather than later.
In order to have twin beds in the downstairs bedroom, the room needs to be set up in a way that the bedroom door is unable to be shut, there is a bed in the way.
The hotwater in the downstairs bathroom was only luke warm (at best) for the duration of our stay, and the oven did not work. The shower in the other bathroom is above a spa bath so there is a big step required to get in & out of the shower and the bathrooms overall were very worn. "

The Executive Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Slight mix up on check in. They had me booked for 2 rooms despite only booking 1 but the staff assured it would be taken care of. Good hotel close to nearby football stadium, pubs and clubs. Had everything I needed for the night."

Jesmond Executive Villas
2/10 Terrible
"No pay tv although the listing said it was available. I couldn’t cast from my phone to the tv as the tv wasn’t compatible and needed to update the server. Contacted staff and they were no help at all regarding this."

Little National Hotel Newcastle
8/10 Good
"Would of been nice to include a free breakfast "
