Myself and my wife went to the Coral Mist Beach Hotel because IT was self catering and it had its own beach and we were NOT disappoint at all. Yes it was not modern and needs a revamped BUT everything else was spot on. Every day we sunbathed on the beautiful beach over looking the stunning Carribean sea and every night we watched baby turtles come out of the sand and we helped them to the sea and even watched a mother laying her 100+ eggs!! Visited the hotel in 2007 and 2008 and amazed that Reggie still remembered us after all that time when we returned in August this year! Hotel was quiet (but so was the whole area including the Gap) and the one bedroom apartment was good although could do with a lick of paint. This is a lovely little gem of a hotel. Perfectly placed for the beautiful Miami Beach opposite, down a quiet little side road but close enough to stroll into Oistins. Very handy for the Friday Fish Fry (but the little stalls sell delicious fish dishes all week). Our room was large with a huge four poster, settee, table, chairs, coffee machine, kettle and a selection of tea and coffee. We went for 8 days with our 9month old daughter and could not have been more satisfied. The rooms/apartments are incredibly spacious, have a beautiful ocean views, a generous kitchen and are finished to a very high standard.
