This is a 3-star property in a 5-star location. We stayed 5 nights in a king suite and enjoyed the views and the sound of the surf, plus the easy parking and ease of beach access. We were surprised by how quiet the property was, but I guess that depends on who is staying there at the time. We were fortunate, although there was someone who smoked on their balcony and we had to come inside and close up the doors (not the hotel's fault). The property was spacious and clean, and housekeeping was very helpful and freshened up our room when requested. The recent remodel is nice, with vinyl plank floors, new, comfortable furniture, cabinets and countertops. The table and fully stocked kitchen were convenient (including filters for the coffee maker and paper towels), as we did enjoy a few meals in our suite. The bed was quite firm and the bedding was very worn and there was no blanket on the bed, just a sheet and a very thin comforter. I was glad to have the extra blanket meant for the pull-out. Also, room darkening curtains in the bedroom would be nice as the blinds let in quite a bit of light. There is minimal counter space in the bathroom, but there is storage under the sink and in small closet located in the bathroom. We really did enjoy our stay and would definitely stay again. It is perfect for a couple or possibly a family with small children, but I don't think it would work well with older children or teenagers.

When my husband and I arrive, Jeannie seemed to be accommodating to our needs and Took our information to give us a call as soon as our room was clean and ready. We set outside in the front and slept in our car To wake up to guest loading their bags on a cart to go to their rooms and we hadn’t received a call as promised. This put a really bad taste in our mouth considering how far we drove and how tired we were. If others were occupied their rooms, why haven’t we got a call for our key? Anyway, she didn’t turn out to be the friendliest of people, Not mention, she put us right by the elevator so when we lay down, all we heard was people transporting their luggage on and off the elevator for hours 😡😡😡😡😡😡

The property is in a great location. No complaints about the property itself, only complaint is that when we booked through Expedia we requested 2 rooms near each other on upper floors. When we arrived one was on the first floor and the other one on the second floor on the opposite side of the building. Disappointing. And even though the vacancy sign was on they refused to move us.

I walked into my suite and was greeted by glass doors illuminating a stunning view of the surging Atlantic Ocean. The waves lit by sun and moon pulled me into a living picture of the beautiful beach. I would not stay anywhere else in Wrightsville. The kitchen and separate bedroom felt like a little apartment by the sea. Loved it.

While the customer reviews for this property were in line with my perception, the property is listed as 2 stars! I found it to be perfect for my husband and I, oceanfront rooms, well maintained rooms and building, very clean, excellent bedding and maid service daily, elevator, plus free parking in an area that charges $5/hr for street parking! The beach was a short walk from the building and we delighted in watching the surfers ride the waves. We were thoroughly satisfied.

This property is quaint, quiet, clean, comfortable and cozy. Location is on the quieter end of the beach, yet close to everything. This was our second visit here. We will visit again.

The room was very clean and the small kitchen really was nicely stocked with essential items for cooking etc. fridge with ice maker was also nice. The view of the ocean was spectacular. Will definitely be coming back!

Very peaceful stay!
We stayed here four days over New Years Eve. Very Quiet and excellent condition. The staff was always very responsive to our requests. The only negatives the WiFi is very weak. It was constantly dropping off and sometimes would not even show as being available. Otherwise the facilities are excellent, clean and the kitchen is fairly well supplied with dishes, utensils and pots and pans. They need to add a cooking sheet for biscuits in room 109. LOL.

We were able to check in early and we asked for a room change from 1st floor for a better view of the ocean, they graciously moved us to 4th floor! We would definitely stay again.

Really nice cozy stay! The only negative was a big roach in our bathroom, but it’s the beach, so not a total surprise. The bed was comfy, the kitchen had what we needed, and it was ocean front!

They moved us to a higher floor upon request so we would have a better view of the ocean. Very nice! I also liked it is located right next door to the oceanic, our favorite beach restaurant.

Surf Suites is a great place to stay! The short walk to the beach was what I liked best. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The wifi would cut in and out and that was annoying. I would still like a full length mirror in the room.

The location right by the sea is fantastic, just a few steps to get to the beach! It’s a good place to relax in peace. The apartment needed a bit more cleaning. The bathtub had a noticeable black line of dirt, and the broom had a big clump of hair stuck to it! The sheets and towels were perfect, and the kitchen had the essentials, although it could use some more cleaning on the furniture. The front desk was helpful and kind. Overall, not bad; we’ll come back.

We love their Flexible check-in arrangement. We arrived around 12:30 pm, was told that our assigned room would be available by 4 which is our expected standard checkin time. The front desk called us around 1:00 asking us a different room was available now if we wanted. That worked really well for us, after 5 hours’ driving, we were dying for a good bathroom break and some refreshments. Being able to checkin 3 hours earlier, We felt that we got an extra whole beach day. We love this flexible checkin so much, that we already decided to come back next year with longer stay. We also kept the condo very clean to minimize the cleaning service, so that the next guest could enjoy extra few beach hours like us.
