This is a photo from the top of a bridge showing the tiered lock system flowing west to east on the Hennepin Canal. From the feeder canal in Sheffield, Il, the water flows east to west AND west to east from the center of the pool. Difficult to explain:)
An original (non-working) drawbridge constructed in 1904 by the Pittsburg Steel Construction company. This bridge is in excellent shape and it still used by vehicles going through the area.
