Staff super atencioso e cordial, com especial referência a Jorge, um luso-brasileiro que está na Suíça há muitos anos e é simplesmente genial. Instalações confortáveis e silenciosas. Boa qualidade da cama e ótimo café da manhã. A vista do quarto (escolhi quarto com varanda para ver o Matterhorn) foi um tanto decepcionante. O hotel também fica um pouco distante do centro - especialmente para quem pretende chegar com malas. Mas eles têm transporte próprio. Em resumo, vale a pena.

We loved this property! It had character but was also very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a delicious complimentary breakfast. The rooms are quiet large and had lots of room for your gear. We hope to visit this hotel again!

This place was very roomy. We had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn from our room and lovely balcony. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were as pleasant and helpful as possible.

Very clean and camplike feel. Family room easily fit four people. Great breakfast. Location is right in the heart of Zermatt. The staff were very friendly.

OK , Sometimes in life things just you get those surprises that just make a trip fantastic. I was booking a Zermatt trip and I know my wife likes the fancy places from instagram and Tick Tock.. It was new years and the city was basically sold out. Basecamp had a couple rooms left and that was it city sold out...so I just went for it thinking it would be ok probably for hikers like a hostel and wed be ok . LOL we got in late they had a key at the door waiting for us I walk into the huge perfectly kept room a giant window overlooking the Matterhorn. I said to my wife is this for real. This is exactly how I pictured the perfect room on our trip to be. The bonus is the Staff is AMAZING and will help with anything you need. The Swiss breakfast in the morning perfect and the location for skiing the downtown Zermatt and apres ski couldn't be better. Now for the interesting part. The owner Richard is a world famous mountain climber and rescue climber and has decorated the rooms with his adventures from around the world the pictures are breathtaking from attop the worlds most famous mountains. Its so freaking cool, he's climbed matterhorn 270 times. Book this place . you wont be disappointed . It's so clean and well kept your think you were at a new 5 star hotel. We will be back with the family next time !!

Front desk staff made the stay amazing. Transport to and from the train station was very convenient. Area around the room was a little loud at night but the room was amazing with a Matterhorn view

Fantastic hotel in Zermatt! As a solo traveler, I occupied a 1-person room, which was larger than I've seen in other hotels in Switzerland. The room had been recently refurbished, looked fantastic and was extremely comfortable. Very nice touches like USB-B & C chargers by the bed, free water, etc made a difference. Breakfast was very good and the service fantastic. Overall, very happy with Hotel Basecamp. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location. Our room is on 2nd floor, with an amazing view of Matterhorn! I was able to see and take pictures of Matterhorn right from our balcony, before and after the sunrise. The room is big even for 3 persons, very clean. The breakfast is great. The staffs are super nice.

I love the town of Zermatt. The location of the hotel was perfect with a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. I cannot say enough about the staff. The ladies at the dinning room that take care of the breakfast are friendly and accommodating. They make you eggs to order.. The housekeepers are absolutely amazing and the room is very clean. The front desk attendants were always friendly professional and always willing to help and give recommendations. When you map the hotel on Google maps go the longer way on the main road take a left at the church…the way the GPS takes you runs you into a steep hill of cobble stones not good if you are trying to roll a suitcase. I had a travel backpack but if you have a suitcase that’s a tip for you.

This was a very wonderful stay in Zermatt! We took the steep way up from the train station (there's a much more "vertically friendly" way to get up there if you walk a little further), but the unit was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also included and delicious!

Some very nice restaurants nearby but need to make reservation. Arrived after 8 and received an email saying it was closed. We followed the instruction to get in. The bed linen is not white and room lighting was dark so not very sure how clean it was. Front dest sometimes no one was there even you ring the bell. But when you talk to staff everyone is nice.

Thanks for the good review. As there are always many people in Zermatt we always recommend to make reservations in advance if possible. Our reception welcomes our guests from 7am until 8pm personally, afterwards our guests are welcome to use the self-check-in instructions. We're sorry that you were not sure about the cleanliness of your room, but we can promise that our housekeeping is doing a great job everyday. It's correct that we decided to have grey bed linen instead of white ones. We're happy to hear that you were satisfied with our staff. Best regards from Zermatt and all the best.

Best mid-budget hotel in Zermatt
I stayed at Hotel Basecamp for a short ski weekend. I loved the location which was in a quiet neighborhood just steps from a major crosstown street. It was easy to walk to all parts of Zermatt and then return to the hotel without getting lost. Plus there were multiple restaurants nearby. Being on the east side of the river going through town allowed my room to have full unobstructed views of the Matterhorn. Waking up and sitting on the balcony while listening to the church bells echo across the valley with the Matterhorn as a backdrop was truly magical. The included breakfast was substantial and allowed me to save money by only needing to pay for one additional meal per day… though I was tempted by all the wonderful restaurants in Zermatt, one can only eat so much! The room itself was large with room to spread out, clean and comfortable. The furnishings perhaps a little dated, but the bed was comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. This will be my first choice for lodging if I ever make it back to Zermatt.

Very clean.
The hotel was placed not far away from the center of village with the easy access to the main ski lifts. The room was very nice, spacious enough and very clean. The breakfast was full of variety of foods for everyone. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay there for several days. Definitely recommend ed.

Amazing stay!!
We stayed at BaseCamp for 4 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was great, location was excellent and would recommend this hotel to anybody. Great stay!!!
