Park Central Hotel New York
4/10 Poor
"Bathroom had hair in it when we arrived and no towels. Also, the soap dispenser did not work. When we told guest services they promised us an upgrade for the last of theee nights, but it was really not an upgrade. Smaller bathroom and very similar room. It seems that the communication between staff as to what was happening was also poor and when I told guest relations how disappointed I was, they kind of just shrugged their shoulders."

Hard Rock Hotel New York - Partner of ALL Accor
6/10 Okay
"Room view was 26th floor, of backside of another bldg, asked for early check in, never called n I'll check bill as we were told there was early check in fee. Roof top was hit n miss, they closed before midnite and turned away, a nite a few days later n the servers n bartenders were terrific. Sessions was good, happy hour they r trying to pawn off their beer from october(pumpkin ale seasonal), they did have an option, food was ok."

"Disappointed in the experience, the aging facilities, and the lack of amenities."

Empire Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Great location. Staff was very nice but did not point out amenities or how to access them. A hotel lobby bar would be a nice addition - there seems to be one but it was closed/dark/empty on a Friday evening. Bathroom in the two-double bed room was small but modern and clean; the hot water took a full 5 minutes to warm up. TIP: Request a high floor, and insist on it. Floors 1 - 3 are awful - noisy, dark and odd-numbered rooms only offer a view of the HVAC system with no sky to be seen. In-room air conditioner/heaters are tricky to set and re-set, and are also very loud - bring earplugs. And, there are not nearly enough lights/lamps in the rooms - VERY dark and hard to see in the rooms!"

Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Nice hotel"

Night Hotel Broadway
8/10 Good
"The room was worn, with cracked tiles in the bathroom, but the bed was clean and the sheets were fresh. The elevator could definitely be improved, though it is an older building, so it is slow. Some of the corridors are extremely narrow, especially when guests are moving luggage, and you may need to wait at the ends while others pass through. Overall, I would recommend it for the location and the surrounding neighborhood, especially since there are very few alternatives nearby. Just go in with realistic expectations about the age and condition of the building."

The Belvedere Hotel

"Good location. Adequate room size for NYC standards."

New York Hilton Midtown
8/10 Good
"My only complaint was sort of miserable check in. We came early, wanted to check bags so we could go about the city. We could, for free, if we checked with the front desk to get a ticket, so we waited in line for that. Then, we came back at 3 to actually check in. There was a Hilton Honors line and a regular line. The Honors line was attended to by three desk employees and the Honors line by one until about 3,:40, then one took her purse and went away, never to be seen again. Meanwhile, two gentlemen who looked to be upper management ... buzzed around, one talking to anyone and everyone and dipping into the back over and over. The other one, at one point as more than 20 people stood in the Honors line ..... went about opening plastic wrapping container and putting out water bottles by each check in point. People in line were actually laughing. Geez! At three, when everyone is checking in, management should 1) jump in and help the check in process and 2) not have "Becky" go on break and walk away with everyone watching. This rush hour should take a lot of precedence ... from a management excellence standpoint. All else was great."

The Manhattan at Times Square

"the only nice thing we have to say is the location was good. the Hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. It is dirty and poorly maintained. Our first room had chewing gum in the carpet. We switched to another room and the bathtub did not drain and the tub was not anchored property. This is an accident waiting to happen. We had to hold onto the rail as the tub floor moved. The wallways need paint and carpet. The breakfast was ridiculous as we told only one cup of coffee per person."
