"Friendly and very helpful host. Accommodated my dietary requirements very well. The optional breakfast is tasty and substantial, which is a big hit with me, and definitely worth paying the extra for. Nice new flooring and carpets throughout. My room was clean but could use an electric socket near the bed (I have advised host on this). Bedside lamps were battery only and ran out of power when I went out for a long evening. "This hotel is horrible and should be avoided by all means. The staff were rude. They asked for a deposit and I gave then my card but they refused and asked for cash only. "Was charged £3 more than the booking price. The new owners are trying to improve the hotel but no kettle in the room is a pain, especially as you had to go get it from downstairs. My other critisism was the mattress on the bed was terrible, everytime you rolled over it woke you with the noise. Not really nice when you can hear the springs next door creaking while they where having sex."
