We asked for some printing to be done and granted it was quite more than they are probably used to, but it was done without first informing us of the price and then all of a sudden we were slapped with a bill for 35pounds! Again, wouldn't have minded IF they had asked us first but they didn't...

"We were welcomed by very friendly staff, informative and polite. The evening meal was good and we had a comfortable room. We had asked ahead for a quiet room and it was nicely tucked away so very peaceful. My only negative feedback would be that the bedding was beginning to look rather tired and a little slack on the cleaning but would definitely stay again."

"This is simple b and b accommodation but importantly it’s comfortable clean with good in room facilities and welcoming helpful staff. Value for money is tremendous and the pub restaurant is much the same. Great stopover on the way back to Scotland. Will be staying again!"

"The food at the Chequers was excellent. We had a great meal in the bar in the evening and breakfast was top class. The room was very comfortable but we found the tv small and difficult to view from the bed near the window. There was plenty of parking and we were able to park right outside our room which was on the ground floor. There was a nice sheltered little are to sit outside the room.
