Fern Acres Hotel Guide - 3 Stars Hotels in Fern Acres, Mountain View

"Only one restaurant and overly pricey."

"Outdoor open spaces encourage relaxation very inviting. Clean and staff very helpful. Smaller hotel setting and not on beach but walking access to the ocean. Great stay"

"The hotel is in a good location, and there is a really nice walking trail right around the property. The rooms are a bit dated and on the small side, but overall we enjoyed our stay."

"Clean room, quiet place to stay, very close to Volcano National park."

"The location was great! Minutes from Volcanoes National Park! Also it was close to some restaurants and gas! The place was spacious and had comfortable bedding. There was a heater for cooler nights! The coffee pod machine and fridge are such nice features!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Old Hawaiian B&B. The accommodations were very nice and centrally located."

"Clean room, staff are very nice. The waterfall is the highlight"

"Definitely stay here! The rooms are lovely as are the hosts. It's right on the water, a short walk or drive to the main shops & farmers market. Also a short drive to many lovely beaches. The breakfast was incredible - and they even accomodated gluten-free. Really great overall, great deal and we'll stay again if on Hilo!"

"The house was very nice, very clean. Our room had a great view of Hilo and the ocean from the private patio. Huge bathroom and dressing room. The ideal room to stay for our first time on the Big Island. Tropical sounds and sights right from your room. Perfect place, so glad we chose to stay here!"

"very very good!"

"We loved our stay!"

"Punawai Hale Barn Bungalow at this property is a wonderfully atmospheric and memorable place to stay. The spacious room with its tropical décor feels warm and inviting, and the sunroom overlooking a lively duck pond adds a peaceful charm. With ducks, chickens, cockerels, sheep, and goats roaming the grounds, the property feels lovingly crafted and uniquely farm‑like, making our stay both relaxing and distinctive — but it’s best suited for guests who enjoy animals and don’t mind a farm‑style...

"This charming property is incredibly well maintained and the staff go above and beyond. All the extras we added on were worth it. Its a very special spot that I would recommend to anyone."

"The best that's all I got to say"

"The property was clean, the staff was very attentive to ensure we had what we needed, and the checkout was very easy."

"This property was great!"

"It was a lovely place to stay, the host was great, answered all my questions and the place was very clean. A very safe residential neighborhood, the highway is a little bit away, but the ocean is closer and every day you can go out on your balcony/porch and watch the whales and the dolphins."

"nice and newer property, well maintained."

"There was bugs everywhere. Thankfully they let us switch to another property."

"Nice ocean view!"
