"Beautiful hotel with a very friendly, accommodating staff. They good out of their way to make you happy. The restaurant has some of the best meals that I have eaten in our stay in Cape Verde! Bring plenty of cash, as the hotel does not accept credit cards. We will definitely stay here again!"

"As others said, the rooms can get hot as they are still heated by the lava under it... but this is the nicest place in town and the most relaxed stay you'll have anywhere... and they will arrange anything you need. Guide, transport, mountain bikes, breakfast crazy early in the morning... make sure you book a guide to go up the volcano, going alone is crazy as you'll end up going the wrong way and be a danger to yourself and others."

"We booked two nights at this hotel. We contacted the owner on whats app to let them know about our stay. We got in reply that they were not in the island at the moment, they were in vacation... so we couldn't able to stay at their place. We had to booked somewhere else, since then we haven't got any news from them, no apologies and no refund ! We called two times Hotels.com to let them know and try to join the owner as well few times without answer, this is not professional at all !!"

"Pool needs better maintenance. Filters not working properly so pool foggy. Bathroom in desperate need of updates. Beds hard and super uncomfortable. Staff is excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Room cleaned well daily. Excellent views of the ocean and the Island of Brava. Sunsets are amazing. Potential to be an excellent hotel with some maintenance and upgrades."
