"Delightful little place in a great location. Beautiful large room with an almost luxurious bathroom. Nice in-room breakfast, with yoghurt, granola and fruit and nice people. I gave four and not five stars for the service because nobody was in site during the night and I was worried what could happen if I lost the keys. But it did not happen and I had a perfect stay"

"Excellent location in the old town and within easy walking of th Central Station. The rooms are spacious and well outfitted. The breakfast, however, was disappointing. Instead of a buffet with a good selection of dishes, the staff bring out a tray of their choice of offerings that were below the pevel of quality I associayte with most Dutch hotels. And only one kind of jam was available, which is genuinely disappointing."

"This was our second visit to Blue Nijmegen. Once again we were impressed by the staff, meals, cleanliness and comfort. The bed was so comfy that it was difficult to get going in the morning. The only minor downside is that the rooms are a bit snug, especially with the TV at the foot of the bed. We will be back!"

"Wonderful hotel. It is supported by students at a local hospitality college but honestly we would not have noticed. The rooms were clean and large, and the building is historic; even the key was a real key. The breakfast was quite good. Everyone was so nice. Minor complaints: the towels could be better as could the toilet paper! The hotel is also not readily accessible by public transportation. However, if you have a car, it is terrific."

"We stayed here another night and checking back in was easy, the breakfast is very good and lots of variety, with fresh homemade bread. On weekends the area around the mall where the hotel is located is very busy and very noisy."

"Very clean, modern hotel which is very good value if you don't mind the absence of a wardrobe or the loudish, non-controllable aircon. The location is convenient and the price is low for Utrecht. It's right next to a station and a tram route and 5 minutes walk from the edge of the old town. The sound of the aircon bothered me but my wife didn't notice so I suppose it depends on your tolerance to background noise. It would have been nice to be able to turn it down or off but there are no controls...

"We arrived looking to park the car in teeming rain. Upon entering the rear of the hotel we thought what have we booked here! Checking in at reception the place was full to the brim. The guy who checked me in explaining there was a bird show on in the rear of the hotel. There was parking at the rear of the hotel, and going out of the front of the hotel saw it was well placed for shopping, bars etc. We had a lovely meal and the service was excellent. Breakfast was even better. Hotel a bit shabby...

"Nice hotel and great staff. Hotel is located by the highway and an industrial park - 35 minute walk to Centrum Amersfoort. Lots of fast food joints within walking distance. Great breakfast. Room was nicely laid out and the beds were comfortable. Down side; we stayed for 6 days and did ask for a cleaning after the 3rd. Mediocre job on the cleaning. That was not a show stopper but the air quality in the room left me waking up during the night and waking up every morning with a dry throat and...

"As a Canadian living in a big city this was an out of the way hotel, good sized hotel surrounded by greenery and fruit trees. The hotel is really well managed, clean with good food and great service. I would definitely recommend this place."

"The uniqueness of this hotel was the restaurant only had 1 choice of food for an evening meal! Apart from that, the hotel was gorgeous set in the woods, however it is a 10 minute drive into Zeist if you need a meal."

"Lovely hotel in the old part of Amersfoort - we couldn’t believe how close we were to the centre of town! Staff were very friendly and accommodating with our requests. Our two young boys loved climbing the typically Dutch stairs to our top floor room. Room itself had plenty of space. Just be aware that there is no mini fridge in the room (just some sort of ice box) which made it a little hard since we stayed for almost a week and couldn’t go out for every meal (kids!) and they have no laundry...
