"Brovad is a must go to if you are taking a trip to Uganda. It's a beautiful get away from the bustle of the city. It's not a beach as it's on a lake, but the surroundings will make you believe you are. The staff are amazing, kind, thoughtful and will do their best to ensure you have the best experience. Always check in with the receptionist about a problem; don't just grumble, they will always have a solution.
The weekends are busy, and if you enjoy a lively vibe, the weekend is a good...

"The staff welcomed us by the ferry where they came to pick us up. They were warm and nice. The rooms were cute and cosy. Food was made by order. They would always ask if we wanted to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and asked what time we wanted it to be ready.
They were very polite and helpful when we wanted to find out where town was and where we could go for swimming.
When leaving the place we had to leave early due to the ferry, where the staff had packed a small breakfast for us to take...

"I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!"

"The hotel is bordered by the lake on one side and virgin forest on the other. I took 3 marvelous meals a day and the evening meal had a roaring camp fire. Staff were superb. A boat trip organised by the manager was wonderful, many lake birds, families of monitor lizards and a flock of african grey parrots! Rooms clean, food good, drinks cold, assistance with travel, infact assistance with anything. What more do you want! "

"Frank was very polite, gentle and willing to help... it made things very easy.
But the problem is that the hotel activity is almost inoperative; you can see it was a nice hotel in the past, but it seems they are more focused in other activities (like the bar, or the party venue) and they don't pay much attention about the hotel itself... the installations are very poor maintained, and most of the amenities are not working (no wi-fi, no TV, no extra activities, etc.).
Otherwise the place is...
