"The room was lovely, bed excellent and staff very welcoming. But the room was facing the main road and, even given ear plugs, we got to sleep at 01.30am. The room was very warm so we had to leave the window open, as there was no fan or air conditioning. If you want to stay you must have a rear facing bedroom. This is our second stay and we had the same problem last time. Once bitten, twice shy. "

"The Hotel Baslertor is located in the beautiful town of Muttenz just outside Basel. The hotel has a great staff, updated rooms, wonderful location with walkable shoppes and restaurants, and the transit system can get you anywhere quickly. Stay here when visiting Basel for a real small village swiss experience. "

"Checking in minor problems "not" caused by owners but Ai communications. We missed an email with instructions. Even though problem not the owners they upgraded our room. Nice touch. Want to compliment "Eveline" at desk who really went out of her way to make sure our stay was positive. Breakfasts were great. Would return here in future without hesitation. "

"This hotel is very strange. Did it used to be an office building? It’s in an industrial area but there is a restaurant and gas station. The bed was comfortable, quiet and breakfast was great. I picked this hotel in particular because Expedia said laundry facilities were available. They were not :( Overall the hotel is good!"
