"The hotel room was beautiful. Very spacious and modern. The shower area is very nice - glass doors are a lovely touch, again, very modern. The room was clean. The bed very comfortable. The only issue I had was that there was no soap to wash my hands. However, there was shower gel and shampoo there. I would like to give a special mention to the restaurant situated next door. The young lady in there went out of her way to help me with my food. She even had the chef prepare bread for me...

"Upon entering the twin room there was only 1 towel....the bathroom was basic at best..no shelf space...half broken toilet seat...and not sure the bathroom was ever cleaned. The bed linen looked not very clean....walls had stains everywhere...carpets were very dirty. It was more a hostel, than a hotel."

"Always a pleasure to stay at the Savoy Grand in Muscat. It is not grand, but everything works --- AC, fridge and hot water --- the beds are comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful. Only 10-15 mins drive from the airport, there is also a city bus from the airport almost to the hotel door. The Bamboo restaurant next door serves an excellent variety of food, and there's a good supermarket 5 mins up the road."

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were nice but the shower door was missing and you couldn’t turn the bedroom lights off without turning all the power off to the whole suite."
