"Me and my friend had an incredible stay at Mhontong. We were welcomed in and felt like part of the family. The location is in a quiet rural fishing town, the locals are all very kind and gave us lots of smiles as we explored the area. Our host went above and beyond to make our stay there the best it could be. We were given lots of reccomendations of what to do in the area and had a private boat tour arranged, taking us to all the less touristy places ! We were accompanied by one of the hosts who helped translate with the boat driver and looked after us on the trip. The view from the property itself is beautiful and right in the national park. "Good value for the money. Location is nice, quiet and quite scenic, right next to a large karst rock formation. It is somewhat remote and requires a car to get around, since the path to town is a kilometer or so of highway and not really safe for walking. Staff was very helpful. The lodge house was clean and cozy, but the mattress was hard and the bathroom was in the old asian style, where the whole room is the shower and both sink and shower run into the same drain in the floor with no separation, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet."
