"I was in Kansas City for the World Cup and selected this hotel because it has a great location in downtown Kansas City. However the hotel seemed very overpriced given its lack of amenities. The rooms were clean, but very basic and seemed in need of updating and renovation. The carpets were fraying and the water and ice machine on one floor was out of order. The hotel has a gym, but no pool. It does have a restaurant but we didn’t try it."

"An updated hotel in an art deco property which is most noticeable in the lobby and bar. Room was updated but did have several minor maintenance issues that needed to be fixed. The location was excellent a block away from the Power and Light entertainment district and the streetcar line on Main St. For the World Cup they had TVs set up in the lobby area. We didn't go to the restaurant or onsite bar. There is a Starbucks but there is a much better coffee shop with breakfast just up the street,...

"The air conditioning was broken during an extreme heat wave. It had been broken. They did not tell guests when they checked in it was broken misrepresenting what was advertised for amenities for the hotel. They took the $520/night and waited for guests to “discover” this very unpleasant surprise. Shockingly unprofessional and amongst the worst staff and hotel experiences I’ve ever had."

"The hotel staff was super accommodating, they had a nice little gift shop that had necessities we forgot to pack. They allowed us to check in early, and our room was pristine. Will stay again!"

"I booked last minute on a holiday weekend so took a bit for the host to get me setup with the GeoKey. If you are in the same position there is enough people traffic to get in the gate and the front door. Host was great!"
