"Hotel was very basic for a Holiday Inn. Restaurant seemed to be breakfast only and bar didn't ever look open. (Maybe the receptionist doubles as bar staff, I don't know.) There is only one lift so queues form. There was a mountain of pigeon poop on the outside window sill of my room, which was a bit gross. Inside was clean and location was fine, but I'm sure there are much better places in York at a similar price and location."

"The room is as spacious and clean. The choice at breakfast good. The staff efficient. It was a good base for exploring Hull old town and marina. We were given a room overlooking the busy ring road and the noise meant keeping windows closed. It would have been nice to have been allocated a room on the other side overlooking the marina especially as the hotel didn’t seem full. Car parking was £10 a day which seemed excessive as the space was right outside the hotel seemingly on their own land...

"The car GPS wasn't very good but I managed to use the directions on my phone. The rooms are across the road from the actual hotel. The food was really tasty especially the Full English breakfast which was inclusive. The Accessible room was very comfortable& the wet room was great, just what I needed. "Guys we are in the middle of a heat wave I said it’s appresive in the room came back after work the next day still no fan in the room Don’t stay here if there is a heat warning - also didn’t help having the maintenance team scrapping banging under my room after the first night.
