"Arrived at 10 pm with 2 50# suite cases. Both receptionist neither offered to help even once up to 10 Steps with my 82 yo mom in tow At 350 a night would like to have filled shampoo and conditioner in bathroom. I was looking forward to the scent. I had my own but at 350.00. "

"First we did not get free wifi on the 17th floor. I could when I was in the restaurant and lobby, but not our room. The sad thing is nothing you can control, but I have never seen so many homeless people in my life almost on every street. Did not feel safe unless there were several of us. The city really needs to do something about the homeless. It sure takes away from your city."

"Excellent hotel! We had just gotten off of a cruise ship with our luggage, and we knew that we probably wouldn’t be able to check in until late afternoon. However, they allowed us to check into a room early and we could go straight up! So helpful! Service was excellent and friendly. The room was very nice, including an extremely comfortable pillow top bed. "The State Hotel is a charming property. The 8th floor terrace was a great place for evening photos and a good place to unwind. The proximity to the Public Market Center was great, especially since that is where we went to get picked up for our tour bus. The downside was the large number of homeless people around the hotel. We wanted to walk around at night and this didn't feel safe to us. "

"The property is older for sure. It is convenient especially if you are on NCL. The price does not fit the property in my opinion. But convenience really plays and I get it. Maybe a $300 a night hotel. The beds they said were Quenns. They are full size beds for sure. Its all good you asked for opinion so you got it. I would not recommend based on price alone. We were literally in the room to sleep.."
