"We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable. The "in-village" experience was pleasant, never obtrusive. Security and comfort were good. Though much was written in other reviews about the noise from the mosques nearby, they did not bother us at all - it was actually a nice sampling of one part of life for most Indonesians and not disturbing of our rest. "Stayed here for a few nights and liked the room overall. Staff were also very nice! However, there were a few weird / uncomfortable things about the hotel: - one of the ceiling/wall lights in the room literally had no switch to turn it off and I had to call the technician to come and disable it - there was no conditioner but there was shampoo (expected better from a 4-star) - restaurant was pricey and food was not good at all - location was kind of far from central Yogyakarta activities and...
