The hotel smells amazing, a scent which apparently is designed specifically for the hotel. Housekeeping come to the room twice a day - once in the morning/early afternoon (as normal) and once in the evening, just to ask if you need any cleaning, or otherwise to bring you an eye mask and a relaxation sweet to help you sleep. "What a gem of a hotel. It has a beautiful and luxurious boutique feel. The staff are extremely welcoming and warm. The room is large by Paris standards. The bed is so comfortable and the bathroom is the most beautiful one I have seen in a hotel in Europe. The shower is very strong and spacious. "Beautifully designed hotel, with friendly staff and a vibrant (and not too touristy) neighbourhood. I've stayed in Le Ballu before and think it's now become where I most like to stay in Paris. It's very walkable to, for example, Opera or Montmartre and has a direct metro line to the Notre Dame area, so it's very well located while also being a bit away from the tourist crush. The rooms are absolutely beautiful - an oasis of calm."
