"Very fancy hotel! Super clean and the view is amazing. The only thing I’d say is it’s very out of the way, and there is no food options around either. The restaurants in the hotel has a weird vibe, no one is ever there, pretty empty.. it’s hard to order a grab or order food delivery because grab doesn’t allow their driver to enter this area.. you’d need to take the taxi out. "

"The whole trip was great experience for a two night package to see Ha Long Bay. The Cruise ship was well appointed and a great base to see the UNECO Heritage site. A few small concerns: the beaches we visited had a lot of rubbish, all boats/ships should invite customers to pick-up the rubbish to help preserve this special environment. Also the ship should have videos and other media which better present the site and environmental goals etc., as this was poring covered by staff."

"We enjoyed our 8-day stay at the Best Western Sapphire. Upon checking in, we were surprised to be asked to pay an additional fee for our 8-year-old daughter who is considered an additional adult rather than a child. Our hotel suite was very nice, fairly new, and had a view of Sun World’s Sun Hills. "The boat is a mid range cruise nothing fancy but still clean and comfortable. The itinerary itself follows the same as every other boat doing these tours. It’s really only 3 activities in 2 days. The 2nd day is a 30 min kayak and then you spend all morning on the boat and waiting at the dock for the return. If you really want to explore Halong bay I wouldn’t recommend this. Also drinks on board are super expensive! "

Our stay at Alisa Cruise was disappointing for two main reasons. First, the overall experience is extremely touristic and industrial.
