"I booked a Krungthep Wing Deluxe suite after several stays in the Shangri La wing and found the suite to be excellent in size and convenience. There was no coffee maker or pods in the room but the hotel provided one a day later. It is a short walk to the Shangri La wing for breakfast and access to the Horizon Club as this wing no longer has club lounge facilities but is all under cover and airconditioned. As this wing is closer to the BTS system travelling around the city is easy and the hotel has a complimentary shuttle service to Iconsiam several times a day. The Horizon Club has two white and two red wines for the cocktail hour as well as a prosecco and small bites to snack on. Each night there was a different variety of a small creme brulee to enjoy with a choice of cocktails."

"This exceeded my expectations! From the service to the cleanliness to the breakfast to the view to the proximity to the main attractions it was perfect! This hotel has a little walkway to go to the mall. It’s also close to the main temples and there’s lots of food options nearby. The breakfast is amazing. Lots of variety. The pool also has a great view of the city. I loved this hotel so much that I originally booked it for the first half of our stay in Bangkok but then canceled cancel my other hotel reservation and booked this hotel again for the second half."

"This is a typical upscale Bangkok Hotel. Our issue was despite receiving a confirmation of the booking, and an email from Avani saying we are looking to having you and quotes THEIR booking confirmation number the reception.The receotion staff claimed for half an hour that there was no reservation and that Expedia had failed to forward it. In short they refused to honour the reservation, and their own confirmation email and booking number, for forty minutes. Not sure where you go with this when you can't rely on a confirmation from Expedia and from the property. Yes the building is nice and clean, but when one's trust in the process is erodedit is dispiriting after a very long journey. One hopes that a prepaid reservation would be respected in short order."
