"I find a vast difference in customer service when traveling to different countries and this hotel has exceptional customer service. The staff is always friendly and quick to meet whatever need that you have insofar as they are able to accommodate. The breakfast is delicious and service there is also amazing. I will be looking for Virgin properties to stay wherever we travel going forward. "

"TV didn’t work in the room for the first two nights. Staff initially offered to move us to a new room but then retracted the offer and instead offered a key to a room with a tv until they could fix it the next day. Not a great solution."

The concierge helped us plan out our sightseeing for the following day, as well as made a great dinner recommendation and reservation. Drinks and food at Peacock Alley and the Caley bar were excellent. The service was wonderful - I wish I could remember all the staffs’ name who assisted us. Thanks for an excellent stay! "

"I can't say enough good things about The George. After falling in love with Edinburgh last year, we returned to the city and the hotel who made our stay extra special. The staff it wonderful and truly make you feel like you're home - whether they wish you a good day or welcome you back after a long day of walking up and down hills. "The hotel was beautiful. The location perfect. Our room was fantastic and spacious and we were so happy to have a washing machine. The ONLY complaint was that there was construction happening right outside our room starting before 8am which was frustrating. We would happily stay again"

"The property was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds and good utilities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven, fridge, freezer). Most necessary items were provided although it would have been nice to have some surface cleaning spray and more washing up liquid and toilet paper. Very nice bathroom and shower, although it took a while for the water pressure to get high enough and the heating was quite fiddly to get to the right temperature. "We had a lovely stay. Great to have the two bedrooms and living space. All of Edinburgh was very walkable and the people were so friendly and welcoming."

"The apartment was beautiful!! Clean, decorated lovely and functional. The bathrobes provided were an extra nice. The location was just perfect. We went to breakfast about a quarter of a mile away. Quiet, tucked away by the Holyrood house gardens, it was the perfect place to stay."

"I have stayed at this hostel many times but always before with other people-= so it was especially great to have a room to myself - with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast was good and coffee was too .The last time i stayed the road outside was being converted for the tram lines-but now that the tram runs almost to the door from Waverley station and the airport it is excellent. The room was clean modern and a lot better than the hotel I stayed in for the rest...
