The Roseate was a beautiful property and the staff were excellent. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived and had no issues with parking, baggage or settling in. The location was adjacent to bus services into Edinburgh city centre and within walking distance to train services, convenience stores and cafes / pubs etc. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Roseate if you are headed to Edinburgh

I have stayed at The Roseate several times and each time it is a lovely experience. This time I stayed in one of the quietest rooms I've experienced in a very long time and it was highly restful. I enjoy the Haymarket area since it is so close to shops, eats, trams and trains; not to mention the Water of Leith Walkway, Princes Street and all the best bits of the city centre, New and Old. The replenished complimentary shortbreads in each room are a lovely touch as well. The staff are so nice and helpful. Meals and drinks are excellent. I recommend this hotel and I will stay at the Roseate again in future: it is one of my Edinburgh go-to hotels.

A beautiful stay, with a confident, humorous and kind staff! We loved our room (#117) and the view of the city. The room was spacious but extremely cozy. The food (breakfast and afternoon tea) were both excellent. Thank you for a great stay!

In my opinion, it's not a 5-star hotel. I was given a tiny room that was supposed to accommodate two passengers, with the only window facing a car; it was on the first floor, facing the parking Lot. They moved us to a second-floor room, which was not great either, after I requested to speak to the manager, not the other way around. The welcome card listed another name, and the toiletries were not enough for two. The linnen room on the second floor was always open, showing all the toilet paper, etc. Overall, I don't think it should qualify as a 5-star hotel.

An excellent and restful place to land in Edinburgh, convenient to airport and the Royal Mile etc. The parking is a real plus. Both rooms we stayed in were small but well-appointed. with very comfortable beds if rather small bathrooms. Very helpful staff and delicious breakfasts.
