"My husband and myself really love Meldrum House, we really do. We got married there in April and it was so special. We decided to stay there for a few nights to celebrate his birthday. I had emailed ahead to say that we had chosen to stay for his birthday as our wedding was so lovely there that we wanted to return. I had requested if possible that we get the same room that we stayed in for wedding. They replied to say that it was lovely that we were coming back and would make the team aware of both of our celebrations and to see what can be done to make our return even more special. What we actually got was the room upstairs from the room we had spent our wedding in. This was the same grade of room we had paid for, so it’s not as if we were asking for an upgrade. They technically haven’t done anything wrong. But I feel they had missed some opportunities to make our trip more personal. If you take the whole wedding/ birthday scenario out of the equation, it was a lovely stay."
