"Can’t say enough good things about Muckrach Country House. The home is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was stunning. We had absolutely the best nights sleep of our whole trip! More importantly Donnie and the staff are the sweetest people! We only got to stay one night but wish we had more time to stay. Absolutely book it, you won’t be disappointed."

"I stayed here the night before my wedding at Drum Castle and was able to utilize the late checkout so I could get ready there with my hair and makeup artists. My bridesmaids, mother, and I had such a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the breakfast was delivered to my room and was delicious, and the property was clean and very relaxing. Lots of cute bunnies outside! We enjoyed our experience here very much and would stay again!"

"The double cosy room is extremely small for 2 people and a dog and very tight space in the corridors when cleaning staff and trollies are out. Dog friendly but no water bowls anywhere around the hotel. Can’t believe Reception had a notice saying Back in 10 minutes when they claim service 24/7"

"This is a beautiful house close to the harbor. We had a triple room with bathroom. Good size room, I wish my room in Edinburgh looked like this. The whole property is spotless and up to date. The hosts are very nice and helpful and serve a good breakfast with lots of options. It's worth spending more time and relax in the chill Stonehaven. They have on site parking."

"A lovely hotel with delicious food and a beautiful, peaceful setting. You should stay here. We stayed in a little stone cottage separate from the hotel an easy 5-minute walk up the hill. It used to be the dog kennels. In fact, the low stone walls topped with iron fencing that served as the two outside pens of the kennel are still there, as are the doggie doors -- tho’ these are firmly closed. "I spent five days at the lodge. The staff is excellent. Most have been working at the lodge for 20+ years. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and bathroom was small but functional. I appreciated being able to open the windows at night for fresh air. The pub is first rate. I strongly suggest having breakfast there. They have a selection of yogurts and cereal but the star of the show are the freshly made hot meals. I had eggs with toast and bacon each morning. Each plate is...
