I have stayed at a large number of hotels over the years but our stay at the Hotel 6 in Abilene Texas was my/our worst experience EVER! Upon checking in the desk clerk told me 4 times that the room was none smoking- ok not a problem we did not smoke! Upon opening the door it smelled like some one had just put out a cigarette! I promptly walked back to the lobby to document that no one in MY PARTY was smoking in the room - just to avoid an unwanted charge. Once in the room I inspected the beds and mattresses to make sure there were not any seen bugs- ok passed that test- we were tired needed rest- set the alarm for the next morning- no need our neighbors above woke us at 5:30 walking and slamming boots and who knows what else on the floor- shower time- and lights on- to say this place was the most disgustingly dirty- despicable place I had ever PAID DOLLARS for is a gross understatement . Shower did not drain- gross toilet , walls - any surface- just gross- if you’re brave and have a hazmat suit- good for you- FAMILIES I AM SORRY DO NOT SPEND THE DOLLARS ! It is disgusting and gross! No coffee, no hair dryer and I honestly believe they use soap scraps for the soap -
